Commercial Pet Display Cases

As the name implies, you won't find commercial pet display cases in the average home: aside from terrariums and the like, pet display cases are usually the purview of pet stores and specialty breeders. These cases come in a variety of types, but they're mostly used for two things: displaying small pets, and showing off non-living wares, like chew toys and the latest gizmos to keep your cats and dogs in your yard.

How much is that doggie in the window?

Most of us have made kissy-faces at the little dogs and cats displayed in the cases in the back of the pet shop. Direct display cases are even better suited for small animals likely to stay small, such as turtles and ferrets, not to mention tarantulas. Small animal breeders sometimes use display cases to show off their champions. However, you won't often find big dogs or cats in these cases -- after all, an adult animal, however cute, isn't a piece of art to be framed!

Toys and treats

Pet store merchandise display cases are a good bit more common than the ones used to hold live animals. What can you find in one of these cases? Everything you or your pet could need or want. Collars, toys, and leashes aren't uncommon, and you'll often find pet meds like flea killers and hairball treatments for your cats sealed away behind glass. Of course, these pet store displays need to be sturdier than most -- they have to deal with big, eager dogs jumping on the glass, not to mention their lazy owners leaning on it!
