Football Display Cases, How Much Room Do You Need?

Football display cases don't necessarily mean that you need a lot of room. You could have a large display case along one wall of your rec room, but it really depends on the type of sports memorabilia that you collect. If, for example, you do collect autographed football jerseys, then you will need a lot of room. Seeing as how these sports items are very expensive, you will also need to have the collection inside the football jersey display cases well insured.

If you are an avid sports fan, chances are you have all manner of things that you bring home from the games, such as:

• Caps
• Baseballs
• Hockey puck
• Booklets
• Small autographed hockey sticks
• Ticket stubs

Getting the Right Display Case

The size of the display case depends on what items you want to showcase. Some objects take up more room than others and there are many unique ways of displaying them. A display case for baseballs and hockey pucks, would not need to be as large as the one you would need for basketballs.

Most of the display cases are made of acrylic or glass, but you can also have them custom made with wood. Wood really accentuates the glass or acrylic and when you have a spotlight shining on the case or have lighting inside, it makes a spectacular showpiece in any room.

For balls in a display case you do need to have a slot for them to fit into so as to keep them in place. The same thing applies to the small hockey sticks that you can buy at the games. Pucks are easier to display because they lie flat. When choosing the display case, think about the size of your items and then judge accordingly.
